pakistan-traffic-police-road-safety-campaign-2026

The National Highways & Motorway Police along with city traffic departments across Pakistan has started a major road safety awareness campaign aimed at reducing traffic accidents and improving driving discipline.

Officials from the Islamabad Traffic Police announced that the campaign focuses on educating drivers about helmet use, seat belt compliance, and adherence to speed limits. The initiative also includes stricter enforcement of traffic laws to discourage reckless driving and illegal parking.

According to authorities, road accidents remain one of the leading causes of injuries in Pakistan, often due to over-speeding, signal violations, and careless driving. Traffic police officers will conduct awareness sessions in schools, colleges, and public places to promote safer road behavior.

Modern technology is also being introduced to improve traffic management. Smart surveillance cameras, digital challan systems, and automated traffic monitoring tools will help authorities identify violations and enforce penalties more effectively.

Officials hope that the combined efforts of law enforcement and public awareness will significantly reduce accidents and make roads safer for drivers, pedestrians, and commuters across the country.
