Pakistan Promotes Tourism Globally and Expands Air Connectivity in 2026

Pakistan’s travel and tourism sector is gaining renewed momentum in 2026 as the country promotes its natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and improved air connectivity to attract more international visitors. Pakistan recently showcased its tourism potential at the ITB Berlin 2026 travel exhibition, one of the world’s largest tourism events. Officials highlighted the country’s mountains, deserts, ancient civilizations, and vibrant culture to strengthen partnerships with international travel markets.

Air travel connections are also expanding. New regional airline initiatives and international routes are expected to boost tourism and business travel. For example, new direct flights between Tashkent and Lahore are planned to enhance connectivity for tourists and business travelers.

In addition, Pakistan is working to modernize its aviation infrastructure and develop tourism-friendly policies to improve visitor experiences. Experts say that strengthening airports, promoting low-cost airlines, and expanding regional travel routes could significantly support the country’s tourism industry and increase passenger traffic.

Pakistan’s tourism sector already contributes billions of dollars to the national economy and supports jobs in hospitality, transport, and local communities. The government and tourism organizations believe that with better connectivity and international promotion, the country could become one of South Asia’s fastest-growing travel destinations in the coming years.
