Mohammad Ishaq Dar, who also heads the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan (MoFA), announced that Islamabad is working around the clock to assist thousands of Pakistani citizens stranded in Gulf countries as regional conflict disrupts travel and airspace access.
In a recent media briefing, he explained that Pakistan is facilitating safe returns through land routes and diplomatic coordination, especially for pilgrims and workers affected by airspace closures and flight cancellations amid heightened tensions in the Middle East. Officials reiterated the government’s message of de‑escalation, restraint, and the need for diplomatic dialogue to resolve the crisis.
MoFA diplomats are also maintaining constant contact with foreign counterparts to protect Pakistanis abroad and coordinate humanitarian support — underlining the ministry’s role in crisis response and citizen protection abroad.
